This weeks blog post comes to you from the Carnival Glory on my 8th Annual Marketers Cruise in International waters somewhere between San Juan, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk from the Cigar Lounge.

After numerous conversations with a large amount of highly successful marketers from around the globe, one thing has become glaringly obvious, that can dramatically impact you and your results.

Here’s the deal: people will fight to protect their beliefs.

To you what is the most obvious truth possible, many will not only NOT see it from your perspective but will fight tooth and nail to defend their contrary beliefs.

Some examples:

The 9/11 attacks did or didn’t have government interaction, knowledge and/or participation. Many people claim that the facts are irrefutable that it was in fact a government backed operation, while others will claim that the facts are irrefutable to the contrary.

Others will claim that laws such as the Patriot Act and NDAA, plus the recent Edward Snowden expose about the depth of the US Government monitoring not only it’s citizens, but world leaders and more, are absolutely necessary to protect our US citizens while others will state that those are in clear violation of the US Constitution (which would also mean those elected officials who enacted it and enforce it to be traitors).

This translates into religious and political beliefs as well, and much more.

And so it goes…the “My belief is better than your belief!” syndrome.

You name the topic, and there will be people for it, and people who oppose it…vehemently on both sides…and the chances of you switching those dyed in the wool opinions is darned near impossible. Or is it?

So what can you do? How do you live effectively and happily knowing this to be true?

Allow me to submit to you a 7 word success formula that has assisted salespeople throughout the decades to remain strong in their desire to share their goods, products, or services.

First, let me state a fundamental requirement for these 7 words to work for you…

You must fully believe in your self, product, and service!

Meaning, if someone is a prospect for what you have to offer, you must know without a doubt that this is exactly what they have been searching for, and that you, your product & service can and will benefit them greatly.

To the degree that If they pass on your offer, you actually feel bad for them, because they will not reap the benefits and rewards that you, your product or service could have given them.

…and you will apologize to them for not explaining it properly, because if you had, they would have not only said yes, but they would be sending you a huge heartfelt thank you for providing your product or service with them as their life will never be the same.

So, do you get that? If you do not feel that way about your product or service: a) drop it, b) find one that you can feel that way about, c) ask your self, “What product do I feel that way about? How Can I sell that or something like it?”

Back to that 7 word success formula…

Regardless of how amazing your product or service is, you have to be alright and open to this amazing 7 word formula and here it is:

So What…

Next!

Count them up. Memorize them, and understand them…and thank me later.

While on my 8th Marketers Cruise, which Mike Filsaime and I started together eight January’s ago
(I’m no longer affiliated with it, other than being an attendee all eight years and still great friends with Mike) I have had numerous people come and thank me with a hug or kind word about the information they received from me that dramatically impacted their lives.

At the same time, there are people who don’t see or appreciate what I do…and you know what?
That is OK with me too.

Here’s why. I am me. You are you. My hope is that the information I provide to you assists you greatly in taking your life and results from where they are to where you want the to be through my videos or written word.

The reality is that I am OK with the fact that it may not align with everyone, but if you are reading this far, my hope is that it is impacting you. And if that is a fact and it is impacting you positively that is good enough for me to continue on, providing this value for you.

Let me solidify today’s message surrounding this 7 word success formula, then I will ask you for a small favor. You ready? Cool! Here we go…

Some will, some won’t, so what, next! is the 7 words that when understood can take your results to new heights.

Some people will get & appreciate you and your messages, some won’t.

Yes, that should astonish you that some people can’t or don’t grasp your nuggets of wisdom, but you can learn to stop trying to convince them on how they should or need to.

Of course, you’ll do your best to share it in several ways to overcome objections or disbelief as best as possible, but there comes a point when you realize that they just aren’t ready for some reason or another.

How about you, right now? Do you take it personally when someone or many don’t see things from your point of view or perspective? Do you lose sleep over it? Does it anger you?

If so, that is totally normal, however might I suggest you take the stance of following the 7 words I shared with you today and recognizing that some just won’t get it and that is ok. Your job is to attract the people who do get it, maximize that and build a following that knows, likes, trusts, and loves you, your product and service for who you are, and what it does for them.

Sidenote: it is 100% ok to do all that is possible in your marketing capacity to get your message to them in as many ways as possibly so they can truly make an educated decision. As a matter of fact, when you have a product or service you truly believe in as we discussed earlier, it is your obligation to do your very best to get it in the hands of your ideal prospects.
